Refund policy

Our refunds and returns policy complies with Australian consumer law.

Melli Bee Designs are not obligated to refund or accept returns if estimated delivery times are not met due to circumstances outside of Melli Bee Designsโ€™ control.

If our failure to comply with a consumer guarantee constitutes a 'major failure' under Australian Consumer Law, we will refund the purchase price of the product or send you a replacement product (at your discretion).

A failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is a 'major failure' if: (a) the product would not have been acquired by a reasonable consumer if they knew about the failure; (b) the product departs significantly from its description or a sample; (c) the product is substantially unfit for purpose and cannot be easily remedied; or (d) the product is not of acceptable quality because it is unsafe.

Refunds for Change of Mind

Generally, Melli Bee Designs does not give refunds or replacements if a customer simply changes their mind about a product. Under Australian Consumer Law, customers are only entitled to a refund or replacement for a major problem with a product covered by consumer guarantees.

Damaged / Faulty Goods

If any of our items arrives in a damaged or faulty condition, a new item will be sent to the customer upon photographic proof of the damaged item and original packaging. Photos of damaged items (and packaging) are to be forwarded to mellibeedesigns@gmail.com for review.

We will require photos so that we can better understand the extent of the damage or issues with the product. If it is necessary for the product to be sent back to us,ย we will email you a return label toย cover the cost of the shipping.

Melli Bee Designs does not take responsibility of general wear and tear in the due course of usage. As such, we typically will not repair or replace products damaged during normal usage.

Cancelling Your Order

We know what itโ€™s like to purchase something and then have a case of Buyerโ€™s Regret! If you have just placed an order and changed your mind, Melli Bee Designs allows for a two (2) hour window from placing your order, to request a cancellation. We canโ€™t make any guarantees; but we will always do our best to accommodate our amazing clients!

ย After this time Melli Bee Designs cannot guarantee that your order can be cancelled, as it may already have begun production.

ย In which case your order will be sent, and a refund will not be provided.*

Returning NON-Personalised Items

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused, and returned in the same condition that you received it (basically, in a resaleable condition).

Suitably repackage the item(s) and send it back to us at the stated returns address within 21 days of receiving the item. (Melli Bee Designs recommends sending returns via registered post or courier as we do not accept responsibility for any goods lost, stolen or damaged during transit. Melli Bee Designs will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.

Please note that you will have to bear the direct cost of returning the product(s).

Once Melli Bee Designs receives and inspects the item(s), we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item(s), and will process the refund back via the original payment method, provided that the item arrives with us undamaged and in a resaleable condition. By saleable condition, we mean that the item hasn't been opened or used and can be resold. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Please allow up to five (5) days for refunds to be processed.

Please donโ€™t return, destroy or throw away any product, (even if itโ€™s faulty) before youโ€™ve spoken to us.

Please note that the cost of the initial shipping is non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of the shipping will be deducted from your refund. If you received โ€˜free shippingโ€™ for your item(s), the handling and postage cost of $8.95 will be deducted from your refund.

Returning Personalised Items

Unfortunately, some items available from Melli Bee Designs are non-cancellable and non-refundable:*

  • ย Anything thatโ€™s made to your specific requirements, is personalised or otherwise can't be resold due to a bespoke element,
  • Personalised goods that are specially commissioned when you place an order,

Oh No! Thereโ€™s a Spelling Mistake!

We understand how important it is for the personalisation to be correct! Our personalised items are tailor-made for you, so our machines will print the same exact message/text that has been entered by you when ordering. Melli Bee Designs urges you to double check any names and messages for potential spelling mistakes.

If your gift does arrive with mistakes, we cannot accept responsibility unless the fault was a result of Melli Bee Designs.*
